Terms of Service

To use ShortsCraft, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

You agree to notify us immediately at support@shortscraft.app if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

Credit system: ShortsCraft operates on a credit-based system. Each AI model costs a defined number of credits per generation. Your subscription plan determines your monthly credit allowance and daily generation limit.

Pricing: All prices are displayed in British Pounds (GBP). Subscriptions are billed monthly on a recurring basis through Stripe. You authorise us to charge your chosen payment method at the start of each billing cycle.

Plan changes: You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

Failed generations: If a generation fails due to a provider error, model outage, or system issue on our end, the credits consumed by that request will be automatically refunded to your account. Credits are not refunded for generations that complete successfully but do not meet your creative expectations.

Unused credits: Credits do not roll over between billing cycles. Unused credits expire at the end of each monthly period.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for the remaining days in a billing cycle.

Your content: You retain ownership of all content you create using ShortsCraft, including scripts, prompts, and AI-generated video outputs. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your generated content.

Licence to us: By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. This licence terminates when you delete your content or your account.

AI provider terms: The AI-generated content is produced by third-party providers. The intellectual property status of AI-generated content may vary by jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring your use of generated content complies with applicable laws and the terms of the AI providers whose models you select.

You agree not to use ShortsCraft to:

Generate, distribute, or promote content that is illegal under the laws of England and Wales or your local jurisdiction.

Create deepfakes, impersonations, or misleading likenesses of real individuals without their explicit consent.

Generate child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors. Violation will result in immediate account termination and reporting to relevant authorities.

Create content designed to harass, threaten, defame, or incite violence against any person or group.

Generate content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.

Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or circumvent the platform's security measures, rate limits, or credit system.

Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to access the Service in a manner that exceeds normal usage patterns.

We reserve the right to review content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

All video content generated through ShortsCraft is created by artificial intelligence. You acknowledge and agree that:

When uploading AI-generated content to social media platforms or other distribution channels, you are responsible for complying with their disclosure requirements. Many platforms (including YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram) require that AI-generated content be labelled as such.

ShortsCraft does not automatically label generated content as AI-produced. It is your responsibility to add appropriate disclosures where required by law or platform policy.

AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, artefacts, or unintended outputs. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before publishing or distributing it.

ShortsCraft routes generation requests to third-party AI providers, including but not limited to Google (Veo), OpenAI (Sora), Kling, Vidu, Hailuo, Seedance, and Wan. When you submit a generation request:

Your prompts and generation parameters are transmitted to the selected provider's API. Each provider processes this data under their own terms of service and privacy policy. We do not control how these providers handle, store, or use the data they receive.

Provider availability, model quality, and generation capabilities may change without notice. We do not guarantee the availability of any specific AI model at any time. If a model is temporarily or permanently unavailable, we will make reasonable efforts to offer alternatives but are not obligated to do so.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShortsCraft and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales.

By you: You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@shortscraft.app. Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account will be deactivated and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited conduct, or if we are required to do so by law. In cases of termination for cause, no refund will be issued for the remaining subscription period.

Effect of termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your account data, generated content, and associated files within 30 days of termination. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including liability limitations, indemnification, and governing law) will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
